WNBA

Overview

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer daily fantasy sports (DFS) contest variant offered by DraftKings. Build a lineup, also known as your “Pick Set”, by choosing 2 or more (3 or more in CO) and selecting whether you believe they will outperform their stat projections. Compete in contests against other users’ Pick Sets and win prizes by making the required number of correct picks.

The entries you compete against are determined by the number of picks you decide to make in your Pick Set (your “Pick Level”). Your Pick Set will only compete against entries of the same Pick Level. The pool of available players and their associated stat projections is called a “Pick Group”.

Available WNBA Pick Stats

For all available stats, if a pick's final result exactly matches the projection line, that pick will be graded as a void, regardless of the selected outcome.

Minimum Play Requirements

For WNBA, the player must log at least one (1) second of official play time to be considered as having met the minimum play requirements.

If a player does not meet the minimum play requirements in their game, all picks associated with that player will be scored as void, regardless of selecting more or less for the pick.

If a Pick Set has one or more void picks and the outcomes of the remaining non-void picks results in the lineup finishing in an existing payout tier at the lower pick level, the lineup will receive the Base Payout in the sport, pick level, and payout tier of the non-void picks, in cash, less any other cash winnings.

If a lineup settles with all but one (1) voided pick, or with all voided picks, that lineup will be refunded its entry fee in the same form used for submission. For example, if the lineup was submitted using Pick6 Credits, the refund will be issued in Pick6 Credits.

WNBA Picks are eligible for the
Pardon Policy. With Pick6 Pardon, your “More” pick of a full-game stat projection of a player that exits early will be scored as a void. Players who record a second of playing time in the first half but don’t record playing time in the second half onward are eligible. Policy only applies to players participating in a regular season or post season game.

Scoring Decisions

DraftKings uses statistics from third-party providers, such as, but not limited to, STATS, LLC, for the purposes of providing game results and real-time entertainment value to its end users. DraftKings may change third-party providers from time to time without notice. For more information, please contact DraftKings customer service at support@draftkings.com.

Live scoring updates are strictly for the enjoyment of DraftKings customers. DraftKings’ official scoring validation process begins once all games within the Pick Group are final. This process ensures that DraftKings’ scoring matches official stat providers when contest results are finalized and paid out.

Once contests are finalized, a Pick Set status will change to “Completed”, and the Pick Set will move from the Live tab to the Recent tab on the My Picks page.

On occasion, official scorers may issue a stat-correction after games have ended and the official scoring validation process has completed. These corrections are rare, but can occur days after a game is played. Therefore, any changes to official scoring that occur after contests have been finalized will not impact those finalized contests. Conversely, if a correction needs to be made after contests are finalized due to a bug with the data feed or the finalization process, while extremely rare, the finalization process (including payment) may be reversed and redone correctly.

Pick stats and their more/less outcomes are intended to align with final game box scores at the time of Pick6 payouts, independent of contest payout timing for other DFS formats in the same sport and involving the same games. While rare, it is possible for a final stat amount on Pick6 to differ with other DFS formats based on when contests from each format were finalized and paid out.

Note: The official scoring validation process is solely to ensure that DraftKings contest results are determined based on official scoring. Delays during this process may occur as a result of data collection or other technical difficulties. DraftKings will not attempt to make judgments on scoring rulings.

Contest Payouts

Pick6 contest entries are scored based on the number of correct picks. Winning entries receive a share of the total prize pool proportional to their share of Standings Points amongst all winners. A contest may have multiple classifications of a winning entry to account for voided and pardoned pick scenarios. Learn more about the Voided Pick Policy.

For example only, a 5-Pick NFL contest with a $10,000 total prize pool may have the following winning entry score classifications: 5/5, 4/5, 4/4, 3/3, and 2/2.

In this example, all winning entries would win a share of the $10,000. The exact share would be calculated based on the amount of Standing Points for each entry. Learn more about how Standings Points are calculated.

Special Payout Cases

Winning entries are defined in the contest’s details. Typically, a winning entry will be one whose final score is eligible for a Base Payout after accounting for voided pick scenarios. For example only, a 6-pick contest will typically have the following scores be classified as a winning entry: 6/6, 5/6, 5/5, 4/5, 4/4, 3/3, and 2/2. Lineups with voided picks will have their scores adjusted, but will always remain in the original contests they were entered into.

What Happens if no one finishes with a winning entry?

If no entry meets the definition of a winning entry, DraftKings will split the prize pool amongst the entries with the most total correct picks. The exact share of the prize pool would be calculated based on the amount of Standing Points for each entry. Learn more about how Standings Points are calculated. In the event no entry has a single correct selection, no winner can be declared and DraftKings will refund all entry fees for that specific contest.

Pick Set Requirements

Eligible WNBA Pick Sets must contain players representing at least two different teams.<

Once a player is selected, they cannot be selected again for a different pick in the same Pick Set. For example, a WNBA player can be picked for 3-pointers made OR turnovers, not both.

Player Pool

Stat projections can change after they have been posted. The projections at the time you submit your Pick Set are the projections your picks will be scored against.

DraftKings reserves the right to add or remove picks to a Pick Group at its discretion after the initial group of picks has been published.

Pick groups will only contain athletes from one sport. In other words, as an example, it is not possible to have a WNBA pick and an NFL pick in the same Pick Set. Picks must be made within the same Pick Group. The Pick Group is a particular set of games and available picks. To change Pick Groups, there is a filter on the Home pick experience.

Pick Set Edits

Pick Sets may not be edited after they’ve been submitted.

If the scheduled start time for a game changes after contests for a Pick Group containing that game become available, DraftKings will take measures to ensure the change is reflected on the pick experience. In the rare case that a game starts before the scheduled start time, all players within that game will become locked as soon as our feed reflects that the game has begun.

Live Picks

Live picks allows you to make picks on players during games that have already started. These picks are based on real-time projections that update throughout the game.

  • Live picks are based on the player’s updated projection at the time you enter and will be scored based on the player’s full game performance. For example, if a player has a live projection of 24.5, the player must score a total of 25 points in total for the game in order for the MORE selection to be correct.

  • Live and pre-game picks can be used in the same entry. You can combine live and pre-live picks from different games within the same Pick Set.

  • Minimum play requirements still apply. Players must meet the standard minimum play rules for their stat to be eligible for grading.

  • Live picks lock late in the game. For WNBA, you can make live picks until 1 minute remains in regulation. Picks are not available during overtime.

Canceled, Postponed, and Rescheduled Games

In the event that a game is canceled or postponed & rescheduled to a time within the original scoring period, the game will be included in the Pick Group and picks listed to play in that game can be graded as either a win or a loss (subject to minimum play requirement).

If a game is rescheduled for a time OUTSIDE the original scoring period, the game will be removed from the Pick Group. Picks from that game will be graded as void.

The scoring period for the WNBA is defined as the timeframe between the scheduled start of the first game within the Pick Group and 11:59 PM ET on the day after the last scheduled game within the Pick Group.

DraftKings may choose to adjust the scoring period for a Pick Group at its sole discretion to accommodate schedule changes any time before 12:00 AM ET on the day after the Pick Group is scheduled to start.

DraftKings may move a Pick Group or a game’s start time if it is known that a game will be starting at an earlier or later defined time than originally announced.

Games are "known" to be canceled or postponed once their status is updated as such by DraftKings’ WNBA stats provider(s).

DraftKings may move the start time of a game if the WNBA has given an official definitive new start time and the original start time of the game has not yet been reached. Games with a “delayed” start (due to weather or otherwise) that have no definite new start time will stay on their original start time.

If canceled or rescheduled games result in a Pick Group including zero active games, all contests for that Pick Group will be canceled and refunded.

Suspended or Shortened Games

If the WNBA declares a game "suspended" then the statistics generated before the game is suspended will count in Pick Groups containing said game. Any statistics generated outside the scoring period will not be included. The scoring period for WNBA is defined as the timeframe between the scheduled start of the first game within the Pick Group and 11:59 PM ET on the day after the last scheduled game within the Pick Group.

In the event that a game is suspended due to an injury or other “Force Majeure” type instance (determined at the sole discretion of DraftKings), and the game does NOT continue by 11:59 PM ET on the day after the last scheduled game within the Pick Group, then the following applies:

  • If the Pick Group involves two or more games, all stats accrued up until the time of stoppage will count towards the grading of picks.

  • If the game is part of a single-game set, the following will apply:

    • If the suspension occurs in the first half of the game, the Pick Group will be refunded.

    • If the suspension occurs at halftime, or in the second half of the game, the Pick Group will be paid out as scored at the time of suspension.
